Every researcher with curricular recognition in the academic field must participate in competitive research projects. This type of projects contributes to the professional trajectory of a researcher an extraordinary value, which indicates his commitment to quality science, his relevant role in the dynamics of work of a powerful research team, and the ability to provide new solutions to problems raised in their field of knowledge. It also implies the ability to have passed the first filter at the demanding level of the scientific community, in which the success rate is minimal, compared to the huge number of projects that fail to exceed the requirements demanded in these calls.
The second filter to overcome will be to publish the results in an impact journal, since the most important commitment of the researchers who win a competitive project is the transfer of results to society, and there is no a better way to do that than the publication of articles in prestigious scientific journals to publicize their work and achievements.
A competitive research project requires the collaboration of a team of researchers, as a synonym of scientific quality, which brings together groups and collaborative networks, and has been able to meet the most demanding requirements, standing out against other groups, competing to achieve, usually, financial resources to develop their work in the best possible conditions, in addition to the prestige that is to win a project in a call of these characteristics.
The teams of researchers, once obtained the expected results, have to worry about giving to know the most outstanding of their research. To do this, they look for the best means of diffussion, they prepare the best possible manuscript, and they embark on the difficult task of publishing in the journals of their field of knowledge, best positioned in the international rankings. Of course, anonymity must be maintained in the process of sending the article to allow blind peer evaluation (read previous entry of the School of Authors: The peer review process), so that it will be necessary to know the regulations of the journal (see previous entry of School of Authors: Norms, norms, norms), to identify in what space and in what moment of the editing process, it is possible to refer to the competitive project that endorses the work, guaranteeing the anonymity of the authors (see previous entry of School of Authors: To ensure an anonymous document).
Taking into account all the issues raised so far, it is advisable not to forget that high-level JCR journals value positively the manuscripts endorsed with the reference or support of a competitive project, which comes from the hand of a team of consolidated researchers. They are valued positively against other manuscripts that do not have the endorsement of this type of projects, since the statistics indicate that the manuscript derived from a teamwork that has exceeded the high rejection rate existing in these competitive calls, has better results and in all cases, it represents a substantial advance to the state of the matter in any discipline.
